Shock and vibration resistant The requirements for sensors in the rail vehicle sector are diverse and demanding. Increasing RAMS requirements as well as integration into modern train protection systems such as ETCS, CBTC or PTC present complex challenges for manufacturers and operators alike.
Added to this are high mechanical loads from vibration, shock and extreme temperatures that act permanently on the sensors deployed during operation. Our axle encoders and bearingless rotary encoders acquire speed data for safety-critical odometry. We also offer sensors for particularly demanding safety requirements such as ETCS and CBTC.

For brake control, encoders for wheel slide protection enable precise speed acquisition, allowing speed deviations and impending wheel lockup to be detected at an early stage.
