Lenord+Bauer establishes subsidiary in India

Lenord+Bauer focuses on expanding its activities by establishing a subsidiary in India. As the specialist for bearingless encoders and integrated drive technology, this reinforces Lenord+Bauer’s direct contact with customers in South Asia.

After setting up its own subsidiaries in China, Italy and the USA, the Oberhausen-based company now also has a presence in Bengaluru to support customers with local experts.

Praveen Chavan, who will be taking on the role of Country Manager India, not only brings experience from the sensor industry, but also extensive knowledge from a wide range of sectors such as the automotive industry, aerospace, agriculture, medicine, and pharmaceuticals. He had previously worked for Sushma Industries and Fanuc, among others.

He aims to focus his future work on providing close technical support to customers and building up a sales network to win new customers: “I am very excited to further raise awareness of Lenord+Bauer’s innovative solutions in the Indian market and to provide closer local support to our customers,” the 41-year-old says.

“India has become much more important in global economic terms in recent years and plays a major role in our international strategy,” explains Dr. Rudo Grimm, Chairman of the Management Board at Lenord+Bauer. “I am confident that Praveen Chavan’s market knowledge and proximity to customers will be the foundation for the successful development of new business opportunities.”
